(a) Cell division is a process to produce a new cell. Diagram 5.1 shows a phase of cell division of cheek cell.

(i) State the type of cell division.

(b) Diagram 5.2 shows the bar chart of production of guava fruits from a farm.
The farmer used cloned seedlings which are good quality and resistance to a type of disease but there is a decrease in fruit yield production.
Why did the situation occur?

(c) A patient has been diagnosed with cancer. The doctor suggested to him to undergo a treatment using a technique in a genetic research application.
Explain the technique.
